NIGHTLIFE

You have to be over 18 to buy alcohol or nicotine from the store in Finland. If you are 18 there are some great bars and night clubs to spend an evening. If you just want to hang out with couple friends and maybe play some board games while drinking, Seurahuone in Aleksanterinkatu is usually a good place for that. If you like to party, there is Jackalope in Vesijärvenkatu. You have to pay 4-8e to get in depending on what time or day you are visiting. On Saturday you have to go there before eleven to get in if you are under 20. There is also Wintti in Vapaudenkatu, but that is usually limited to age 20. In Rautatienkatu there is Mugi, which is smaller than those, but it is also cheaper and has “happy hours” until 24. Usually you have to pay minimum 6e for drink but on Wednesdays we have “hanat” in Amarillo and Mugi, so you only have to pay 1-3e for beer, cider and long drinks. Thursday same thing happens in Dublin (Vapaudenkatu) and on Friday and Sunday in Jackalope. Amarillo in Aleksanterinkatu is also a nice place to sit down, drink and hang out with friends. On daytime they serve great Mexican food.
